Frequently Asked Questions

  • A coach’s primary role is to help you achieve your goals in any important life domain (e.g., work, physical health, relationships). Goals may be performance (e.g., improve appraisal scores at work) and/or wellbeing-orientated (e.g., reducing self-defeating thinking and behaviour patterns).

  • A clinical psychologist undertakes training in the assessment and treatment of psychological difficulties. These problems range from diagnosable mental health conditions to issues such as stress and relationship difficulties. Clinical psychologists use ‘talking therapies’ to help people with their problems.

  • We use several evidence-based interventions in our work including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. We utilise practical techniques from these approaches combined with the latest scientific findings in psychology and neuroscience.
